When asked why we would make good parents, our friends and family said:
"Kimberly and Anthony are the first people I go to when I need advice no matter what and I trust them more than any two people on this Earth!" ~ Kristen, Kimberly's sister
"I
have had the pleasure of knowing Kimberly for 15 years and Anthony for 5 years.
During that time, I have had the privilege of witnessing their nurturing,
selfless, and loyal nature as siblings, children and as friends. I have seen
both of them go through dramatic tragedies, such as the tragic loss of Kimberly’s
father on 9/11 to Anthony’s father’s battle with a fatal illness.
This type of hardship may have crushed other people’s spirits, but not
theirs. Together, they remained strong, committed to their families, and continue
to uphold a positive outlook on life. While
there are so many qualities I feel Anthony and Kim possess which would make
them incredible parents, if I had to pick one it would be their sincerity and
their inherent ability to stand up for what is right… in essence, their
character."
~ Claudia, our close friend
"Anthony and Kimberly have a home that is filled with love and laughter. Any child that comes into their lives, would be welcomed with open arms
and loving hearts, not only from Kim and Anthony, but their large
extended families as well. There's not two people in this world more
deserving of this beautiful gift and any child would be beyond
fortunate to be loved and raised by them."
~ Tara, Kimberly's co-cheerleading coach
"If you ever thought that a big, welcoming,
generous, noisy, loving family was a fairy tale, you've never met our
family. Kimberly and Anthony would be nothing other than wonderful
parents - the amount of love they have both been given multiplies the
amount of love they have and want to give to a child." ~ Stacy, our cousin
"Aunt Kim and Uncle Anthony would make great parents because they would always spend time with their baby. Uncle Anthony would probably even stay home from work to play with his kid, but I guess he'd have to tell his boss he's sick."
~ Vincent, our 9-year-old nephew
"In
our family, a print with these words hangs in almost everyone's homes:
"Our family is a circle of strength and love; with every birth and
every union, the circle will grow. Every joy shared adds more love,
every obstacle faced together makes the circle stronger." Kimberly and
Anthony will be wonderful parents because these words not only embody
our family, but them as a couple - and I wish nothing more than for
their circle to grow and become stronger." ~ Linda, Kimberly's mother
"In my opinion, Kimberly and Anthony would be the perfect parents.
Their warmth and care-giving instincts are ideal qualities for raising a
family. In addition, their intelligence and hardworking nature
led them to choose careers where they help people and make a
difference in children's lives every day. I know both of their families
and they too are the same, both providing Kimberly and Anthony with a strong
foundation for parenting." ~ Lois, a family friend
"I
can't think of two people who would be more loving and devoted parents
than Kim and Anthony. Being that as an adult, I often go to them for
guidance, advice and words of wisdom, I am positive their children will
be raised to live their lives with impeccable values and a high moral
fiber. Their perpetual positive outlook and ability to be steadfast
and positive in the face of anything life throws at them is inspirational to all those around them. I don't know two people who are loved more by their family and friends and that love is reciprocated by them tenfold. Kim
and Anthony are the rock that those around them lean on when they need
strength and any child would be lucky to be raised by such honorable,
loving and strong-willed people." ~ Todd, our close friend
"There are several reasons we believe Anthony and Kimberly will
be great parents. What stands at the forefront though is: 1. They had GREAT
parents to learn from and 2. The problems they have had to overcome and
the great character they showed in dealing with adversity shows me that
the world will be a better place with their children in it." ~ Jan & Neil, Kimberly's parents' friends
"I have a nine-year-old son, Vincent. Kimberly is not only his godmother but has been my number one choice for a babysitter ever since his birth. She has always made an effort to spend time with him. Sometimes, she just watches TV or goes in the pool with him and at others she takes him out to do something fun. When Anthony joined the family, he and Vin took to each other immediately. Now the three of them spend time together at the movies, restaurants, or museums."
~ Katie, Kimberly's sister
"When I think about Kim and Anthony's desire to be parents, my heart
goes warm for them. As a mother of two, the question always comes to
mind of whom you would leave your precious babies with if, God forbid,
anything should happen to you and your husband. To describe my feelings
of how strongly I feel that they would be exceptional parents would be
best said that I would have no doubt in mind as designating the two of
them to raise my children." ~ Melissa, our cousin
